Today's health care professionals understand that there are many advantages to patients who receive health care in their homes. Home health care may offer a patient more privacy, convenience, comfort, a shorter recovery time and lower costs.

Jefferson Family Home Care is a service offered by the Jefferson Community Health Center. It is designed to provide services for the homebound person who needs the skilled services of a nurse or therapist.

Jefferson Family Home Care is regularly surveyed by the state of Nebraska, and has been deficiency free for the past three surveys. The most recent survey was conducted in 2008.

 

Home Health can provide:

bulletInjections; Bowel, bladder training; Nutritional guidance; Decubitus care; Sterile techniques; Contacts for equipment; IV therapy; Catheter care; Dressing changes; Bathing; Irrigations; Colostomy care; Obtaining lab specimens.
