"Foundation created in 1993 to provide long- term support" The Jefferson Health Care Foundation was incorporated in 1993 as a non-profit supporting foundation to provide long-term support for Jefferson Community Health Center. The foundation holds fund-raising activities, promotes charitable giving to help support the hospital and nursing home, accepts memorials and bequests, encourages employee payroll deduction, and offers a variety of ways for people to give to help the hospital and nursing home. Money which comes into the foundation is used to purchase equipment or provide programming for Jefferson Community Health Center, or is invested for future use. The foundation is constantly seeking new ways it can help Jefferson Community Heath Center. Foundation board members are elected by the Jefferson Health Care Foundation and approved by the Jefferson Community Health Center board of trustees annually. Donations may be made to the foundation at any time through memorials, donations, gifts, or planned giving.
